Guest Post: Stephanie Grosso's Success Story ~ Fit Syracuse ...

My name is Stephanie and I have been a client of Mike?s for around 3 years. Mike has been on me to change my diet for quite some time. He would tell me the benefits of healthy eating, eg. weight loss, increased energy, etc. I came to a point where I was sick of working out hard daily and not seeing the results I wanted. I did not like what I saw when I looked in the mirror and knew it was time for a change. I asked Mike for help and advice. He suggested I start the diet he & his wife Andrea follow, which is a combination of Paleo and One Ingredient Diet. This consists of eating only meats, fruits, vegetables, and nuts. That means cutting out processed foods that are made with many ingredients and chemicals. If you have ever looked at the average food label, then you know there are many things on that list you can not pronounce. I don?t know about you, but if I can?t say it, then that is not something I want to put in my body.

On March 18th I began my diet/ lifestyle change process. Along with changing my diet I also stopped drinking alcohol & if you know me that was not gonna be easy! Since doing all of this, I have had amazing results! I have lost 20 lbs. and I just feel so much better. Before the change I would sleep an average of 6 hrs. a night and would be tired throughout the day. Now, I no longer have trouble falling or staying asleep and sleep an average of 8 hrs. a night. I now have so much more energy throughout the day.

I?m not perfect and have cheated on my diet a few times. When I have done this I have felt aweful the next day, tired, stomach being off, etc. So when temptations come up I try to remember and remind myself how bad I will feel in the morning. Now when I go grocery shopping I stick mostly to organic foods (because of the chemicals sprayed on non-organic fruits and vegetables) and I always read labels. Changing my diet wasn?t easy and is still challenging at times, but it sure is worth it! Now I look at foods/ drinks I used to love and I am not even tempted because I know the ingredients/ chemicals they put in those products.

This is a change I feel great about and I know I can/ will continue throughout my adult life. I would recommend this diet to anyone whose looking to become healthier, or wanting to get more results for the effort they are putting into their fitness routine!
