I have a confession to make. Up until now I have never seen The Princess Bride all the way through. In fact it was just a few months ago that I even watched the movie. I saw most of it but I missed the beginning and the end.
Whenever I tell people I?ve never seen The Princess Bride they look at me as if I?m a creature from outer space.
For as long as I can remember people have been raving about the movie. I?ve always been meaning to see it but never did. Now I can say that I?ve FINALLY seen the film from beginning to end and now I know why people rave about it. It?s only taken me 25 years to see it. LOL!
Normally when I write movie reviews I rely on my own summery of the movie rather then a press release or pre-written synopsis. However I?ll make the exception in this case because I think the synopsis was written brilliantly and I know I could never write it that well myself.

I loved the movie! It was so sweet and fun to watch. Unlike movies today there was no real violence (except a few sword fights for the most part) plus there was no nudity, bad language or anything that would make a parent think twice about letting their child enjoy the movie.
My family has never seen the movie until now either. My husband heard of it but never saw it. My kids never even heard of the movie. So we all sat down together to watch it.
My husband really enjoyed it, as did my 15 year old daughter. My 13 year old son felt like it was too ?girly? (I honestly don?t know why he thinks it is ? I don?t consider it ?girly?). Oh well, you can?t win them all. Three out of four people in my family really enjoyed the film. Maybe when my son gets a little older and has less ?teenage angst? he?ll enjoy the film (Ha Ha).
Like most Blu-ray movies, this film has a lot of bonus features. I actually enjoy the bonus features. Sometimes I enjoy the bonus features more then the movie it?s self (but not in this case).

On a side note the movie has it?s own Pinterest page ? https://pinterest.com/princessbride25. It?s worth checking out, especially the board called ?True Love? with current photos of Cary Elwes and Robin Wright Penn. Robin?aged beautifully, Cary? well? I think he had some work done that I think takes away from how handsome he was.
