A couple from Brockway (PA) has filed an asbestos lawsuit in Kanawha Circuit Court against 85 companies.
The suit was filed by Ward McFadden and his wife Margaret McFadden on 27th February.
The plaintiffs say McFadden was regularly exposed to deadly asbestos during his career as a result of which he developed lung cancer. He was diagnosed with the disease in October 2011, according to the suit.
The plaintiffs argue that the companies allowed McFadden to work in a harmful environment where he had to inhale asbestos dust and fibers.
The couple is asking for punitive and compensatory damages.
